roller coaster

what a great work week. it was crazy and full of the usual crap. i just did what was in front of me, plugged in the tunes and pressed on. i worked late, the commute was long... but it was... just what it was. not good not bad. moments coming and going. it was nice and not stressful.

i am grateful for enjoying the moment and not the roller coaster.

twenty

i am grateful for my ability to exercise patience and not freak out. this whole week i have been focusing. it has worked out really well. i have been sleeping well, working productivly, enjoying the drive to and from work. i've been able to stay closer to the moment and savor it and let it go. flow...

ps... the left over cheese tamale from lunch. lived in my system for about 20 minutes. (it was a good 20, but a bad 20.)

simple day

i am grateful for my simple good day.

i was productive at work, in spite of my workload.
i got to grocery shop.
i made a great dinner.
i watched 'the long way down'.
i had 2 glasses of wine.

i hope to do more 'good thinking' on bad days. why can't 'bad' days be treated or dealt with in this same manner? that is one of my goals... days just are. good or bad. they are fleeting. (note to self... they just are. enjoy them what ever they bring.) observe... and move on.

trust me. this makes sense in my head.

productive cough

i am grateful for my phlegm-y cough, rather than a dry cough.

(there were other great things about today... but it's not very often i get to use the word phlegm.)

sundays

i am thankful for sundays. even after 2 days off work, sick... sunday was still wanted. time to clean, sleep in and enjoy just being at home.

sister

big day in gratitude land.
i am thankful for... (in no specific order)

a hose and driveway to wash my car.
my cold going away so i could enjoy the sunshine outdoors.
talking with my mother.
talking with my sister in chile and making plans for our meet up in boston in april.
a lawn mower to mow the lawn. (i love mowing)
meeting a new neighbor that was super nice.
making a killer breakfast.
getting my childhood brownie receipe from my mom.
having a good book to read.
running errands. (in said, clean car)

i'll stop there... : )
